Status

River wrangling, most likely, keeping her away from everything around Skyhold that is both dirty and sharp. When he has a chance for himself he prefers the library, researching River's condition like he's cramming for finals week.

Reputation

Formerly of the Cumberland Circle who 'escaped' after Kirkwall happened, actively sought the Inquisition out to join rather than be recruited like most rebel mages. A healing specialist, apparently he has a crazy sister whom he is trying to make less crazy that he had to rescue from Tevinter. Simon seems constantly tense (for perhaps understandable reasons) and isn't the warmest person to most, but he won't turn away requests for help and does his best to pull his share of the weight if not more.

Hooks

River attracts enough attention on her own, while Simon tries to actively avoid it. That isn't easy when there are rumors about the daring rescue from Tevinter and the dangerous blood magic rituals that his sister was subjected to to warp her mind. There are even a few rumors that he's a blood mage himself, but those are silly and you're silly for believing them. After Kirkwall the templar order was willing to brand anyone who sneezed funny a blood mage, honestly. Now do you want that cut seen to or not?
